More than a few among the media at the LA Show's two Press Days commented that the GT-R carried styling cues which looked a bit like "Japan Sports Car, Circa Mid-1970s", which was the feeling we had when we were at the car's unveiling in Tokyo just a few weeks before the LA Show. In a sense, this is the 21st century version of the original Datsun Z-car, and while that is not necessarily a bad thing, GT-R has enough of what designers call "surface excitement" for three or more cars.
