"Big" Willie Robinson, co-founder and president of the "National and International Brotherhood of Street Racers", was at the last night of drag racing at Los Angeles County Raceway in Palmdale, CA, before it closed-down for good, after opening in 1965. We were there, too, and an interview we did with Willie for our TV show, "Car Nut TV", is now on this website. Simply check the left-hand margin and scroll down until you find it, or click anywhere on this line. Below the Willie link in the margin, there's an interview we did with Bernie Longjohn, who ran the raceway for the past 20 years and is moving to the east coast to run another dragstrip. Enjoy! And remember to post your own comments and thoughts and even questions on this website! And please tell all your friends about this website, and to come visit us anytime, and check-out the only video on the Internet featuring Big Willie!
Iwas hoping and have been searching for contact information on Big Willie so that Redline Motorsports and I could obtain some helpful tips on doing the same here in the Washington D.C. area, but would like to incorporate track, and drifting with the help of Summit Point Raceway. Please if you have any information about the Brotherhood we would greatly appreciate it. Hope to hear from you soon.
