OK, this is what you've been waiting for --- So here it is! My editor at POPULAR MECHANICS magazine once told me, "There are two things which sell magazines --- Pussy and hamburger. Put either, or both, on a magazine cover and that sucker WALKS off the newsstand!" The "pussy" part is obvious, but the "hamburger"? That translates into Porsche, Mustang or Corvette. Put ANY of those three on a magazine cover (and maybe Ferrari, depending on the mag) and sales go up 10%, automatically. These woman posed for photogs, than sat down to autograph posters of themselves ... and charged $5 a pop for their signatures, when they were already being paid to be at the show! Seemed ridiculous to me, but we bought a poster, anyway (for Carey's dad, an old-school drag racer --- right). Funny, but while they were signing and the people in line were whining about the charge, the rest of the display was empty --- NO execs from the company there at all! Now THERE'S an outfit to NOT do business with! And, honestly, I have NO IDEA what the name of the company is!
