AUDI INTRODUCES "CROSS CABRIOLET" CONCEPT AT LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles Convention Center

The car is unmistakably an Audi, owing to the huge grille which has apparently become standard on each Audi production vehicle from this time forward. Being something of a "cross", or the offspring from being the result of a marriage between Audi's midrange Q5 crossover (sold in Europe, will be sold in the US in 2009) and their venerable A4 cabriolet. The main probelm we see? Well, it's that we see it at all. This car is simply not very good-looking. In fact, apart from the small groups of people which stopped to see and ask about the General Motors (or Chevrolet) Volt plug-in hybrid on display, there were, sadly, fewer people gathered around the Audi's 'Cross Cabriolet concept'.
