AUDI 'CROSS CABRIOLET' CONCEPT

AUDI 'CROSS CABRIOLET' CONCEPT

Los Angeles Convention Center

So, what is Audi 'saying' with this vehicle? Ask that of the well-trained Audi PR (public relations) people at their desk in the Audi exhibition space, and one will hear a lot about "open air enjoyment and off-roading potential in one vehicle, the ability to experience off-road areas with all of nature joining you" and so on. All this is possible, of course, due to the vehicle's convertible top (much of the concept appears 'borrowed' from a production car, that is, Audi's A4 Cabriolet), and the cars' relatively high ride height (the better to go over rocks and plants) and of course the company's "quattro" all-wheel drive system for handling dirt roads easily, and affording a more stable and confident driving (and riding) experience on any type of slippery roadways. Acceleration and braking also feel more secure and safe thanks to quattro, as is handling sharp corners at 'sporting' speeds.
