AUDI "CROSS CABRIOLET" CONCEPT

AUDI "CROSS CABRIOLET" CONCEPT

Los Angeles Convention Center

It doesn't happen all that often these days, but once in awhile (and usually at a big auto show in another country, particularly Japan) you'll see some crazy, wild or just plain silly (or even downright ugly) vehicle rotating on a turntable, being hit with spotlights from above and all sides, and suddenly wondering to one's self: "Man, just what the hell were they thinking when they designed THIS?" For me, that "What the hell...?" moment came when I first saw this "Cross Cabriolet" concept car which Audi brought to Los Angeles. Having seen that company's unusual but thought-provoking "MetroProject quattro" concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, barely two weeks or so before this LA Auto Show (and seeing all the far-out stuff at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas between Tokyo and LA), Audi's Cross Cabriolet became only the most recent Car Nut's Official "What the Hell Were They Thinking Vehicle" contest for 2007. What do YOU think? What was YOUR favorite car or truck at the LA Auto Show, or any other show you've vsisted this year or seen through the Web and/or our photo albums ...
